Welcome to The North Shore of Long Island
Located within 45 minutes of Manhattan, the North Shore of Long Island, also known as “The Gold Coast”, offers a lifestyle rich in comfort and convenience. Shaded, winding country lanes, green golf courses, historic villages, state parks, world famous shopping and a glorious shoreline on the Long Island Sound are just a few highlights that this area offers. Proximity to the city attracted many of the famous names of the Gilded Age who wanted to escape to the country. Some of these fabulous estates still exist both in private hands as well as some accessible to the public.
Getting to the city has become even easier with the recent opening of the new Moynahan Train Station which provides access to the Long Island Railroad. The East Side Access Plan which is expected to open in 2022 will offer Long Islanders direct access to Grand Central Terminal.
Home to some of New York State’s top schools, sporting opportunities, and museums, the North Shore of Long Island has something for everyone- all within commuting distance to the Big Apple.
